ICON Miniature low power OCXO targets mobile communications and data transmission

Erie, PA — Bliley Technologies has released its latest sub-miniature OCXO (oven controlled crystal oscillator), the DIP NVG79 OCXO series. Where low power consumption, fast warm-up and high stability are critical, the series is configured for handheld radios; handset-based mobile resource and field asset management systems; mobile base stations; and a range of other mobile communication systems in the telecommunications, utility, industrial and military sectors.

According to the company, as commercial and government mobile communications needs continue to expand, the NVG79 OCXO series was developed to facilitate greater real-time information reliability and optimized data transmission.

Design engineers find the NVG79 OCXOs have multiple benefits including: low start-up power requirements; low steady state power; very rapid warm-up time; RoHS compliance; miniature size (0.355-inches or 9-mm high); through-hole and surface mount configurations; a wide frequency range (20 KHz to 54 MHz); and custom frequencies available for high-volume orders.
